Instructions to Download Email Distribution Lists:
Use the following instructions to download the
e-mail distribution lists for certain key legislative committees. Note: These
directions are for Microsoft Outlook and Excel programs.
In Microsoft Excel:

Download Microsoft Excel spreadsheet from the
website, then save to your desktop.

Once saved on your desktop, open it and under
File, click on Save As. Change the Save as Type field from Microsoft Excel
Workbook to CSV (Comma Delimited). Note: A message may appear saying that the
file “may contain features that are not compatible with CSV (Comma Delimited).
Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?” CLICK ON YES. Exit file.
In Microsoft Outlook:

Create a new “Contact” folder to import the data
into. Under File, click on Import and Export (this will activate a wizard
program). Click Import From Another Program or File. Click Next.

Select format – Click on Comma Separated Values
(Windows). Click Next.

Next to the File to Import box, click on the
Browse button and find the CSV file you saved earlier and select it. This will
bring you back to the File to Import box. Before going to the next step,
choose the 3rd option, do not import duplicate items. Click Next.

Now select the “Contact” folder created earlier.
Click Next.

Then click on Map Custom Fields. This function allows you to match Excel file
field names with the MS Outlook predetermined list (see directions). Click
Finish.

In MS Outlook go to the “Contact” folder created to see list created
