Westgate Center for Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an administrator. Administrator is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, directing, controlling and supervising the general operations of this long term care and sub-acute center for health and rehabilitation according to applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards and guidelines. Responsible for ensuring that the highest degree of quality resident life is maintained. Qualifications: Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Maine according to Public Health Code regulations. On call according to state regulations. Display flexibility, personal integrity and effectiveness in dealing with residents, personnel, state, federal and support agencies. Ability to make decisions and function independently. Ability to plan, organize, develop, carry out, and interpret the facility's goals, objectives, policies and procedures. Demonstrate leadership ability and supervisory skills; willingness to work cooperatively and tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, state and federal agencies, vendors and the public. Interest in the health care needs of the aged, chronically ill, disabled and emotionally ill with the ability to work with these groups. Physical Requirements: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required bending, stooping, turning, stretching, reaching above the shoulders are involved; must be able to cope with the mental, emotional and physical stress of the position; must be able to observe, listen and communicate effectively; must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies.
