Description:
Working in long-term care, though rewarding, can be incredibly difficult work. How do you lead effectively amid ever-changing regulations, tensions among residents and staff, low wages, high turnover, staffing shortages, and other day-to-day challenges? Join us for tools and techniques to improve your effectiveness as a leader, strengthen communication and problem-solving skills, and create opportunities for employee growth.

We’ll begin by exploring the GROW model of coaching, practicing “radical candor” to correct mistakes and improve job performance, and discussing the impact of unconscious bias on employee growth. You’ll learn ways to become an energizer with your team, not a depleter, enhancing trust and inspiring your team, residents and colleagues. Finally, you’ll practice “active constructive responding,” a tool for celebrating the unsung heroes and accomplishments of your team members. Don’t miss this opportunity.  Excellent leadership skills are essential to your success and the key ingredient for building a team that works together to deliver amazing resident care.  For more details, see the Program Flyer.
