Title: Telepsychiatry: Lessons Learned from COVID-19 (WB2107)
Date: July 20, 2021
Time: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Program Description: Are you concerned about the mental health of your residents? Counseling and therapy can be very beneficial to residents experiencing depression, anxiety, loneliness, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions. Though COVID-19 has significantly impacted the landscape of senior care, we must find ways to get residents the care they need to thrive.
This program focuses on the ins and outs of telepsychiatry including what it entails, telehealth regulations, evidence-based practices, which residents benefit most, what types of services can be provided, how it can be utilized across the continuum of care, benefits, limitations, and more. Mental health is a vital part of residents' physical health and quality of life. Join us to learn steps you can take to provide psychiatric care, remotely, amid the pandemic and beyond.
