Amid the COVID-19 public health crisis, navigating new guidelines while ensuring the health and well-being of residents, requires resiliency. This three-part series called, The Ethics of Showing Up: Caring for Ourselves & Others, both offers a platform to name your experiences and provides tools to help you maintain self-care, deepen resiliency, enhance ethical boundaries and continue to show up for those in your care.
MHCA will host this "live" educational series online (via Zoom) on August 11th, August 25th and September 8th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM each day. For a detailed description of each session, you may refer to the Event Flyer.
Presenter:
Carla Cheatham, MA, MDiv, PhD, TRT, began in social services with an MA in Psychology, certification in trauma therapy, PhD in Health & Kinesiology, and M.Div. before working 10 years as an interfaith chaplain and bereavement coordinator. Carla is a national keynote speaker and consultant focusing on emotionally competent and resilient professionals and organizations, Chair of NHPCOs Ethics Advisory Council, former Leader for NHPCO’s Spiritual Caregivers Community, Adjunct Professor at Seminary of the Southwest, and Assistant Professor for University of Maryland’s MS in Palliative Care. She publishes books and videos about resilience, communication, boundaries, grief, healthy leadership, and emotional competencies for professionals.

We encourage you to register early as space is limited for this program. There are two options to register: (1) Register Online, or (2) complete the Paper Registration Form, fax it to MHCA at 207.623.4080, and mail the original (along with your payment) to: Maine Health Care Association, 317 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330. If you opt to pay with a credit card, to ensure the accuracy/safety of your information, you must register and process your payment online.

MHCA Members: $129 (1st Registrant) ~ $119 (additional registrants from same facility)
Non-Members: $199 (1st Registrant) ~ $189 (additional registrants from same facility)
CEUs:
Approved for 6.0 CEUs (2 CEUs per session) by the Maine NHA Licensure Board
Certificate:
After you register/pay for the program, we will send you an invitation to register for the Zoom Meeting. Once complete, a confirmation will be sent to the email you provided, including your unique link to join the broadcast. To earn a Certificate you must use your own unique link to join the meeting and respond to questions during the broadcast. After the series is complete, and proof of attendance has been verified, certificates will be issued to all eligible participants.
