The biopsychosocial assessment is a crucial foundation of person-centered care and provides a springboard for a robust care plan based on resident goals and strengths. Beginning with the initial assessment, the resident’s well-being and quality of life depend upon a thorough assessment by a skilled social worker. This two-part web-based educational series will focus on critical thinking skills to identify important psychosocial issues for residents. We will discuss topics that impact an individual’s psychosocial well-being including capacity, resident rights, assessing maladaptive behaviors, balancing needs and wants, end-of-life care and trauma-informed care.  For more details, please refer to the Event Flyer
