North Country Associates, one of Maine’s premier health care management companies,
is currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Accounting Team in our Lewiston Central Office.
We are seeking to fill this position in anticipation of the upcoming retirement of our long-standing Controller. The selected candidate will initially have some accounting functions, while cross training in several processes, with the eventual plan to fill the Controller position. The Controller will oversee the accounting team and coordinate all financial reporting requirements for all (25+) entities and companies.
Qualified individuals will have/be:
¨ Bachelors Degree in Accounting with previous management experience, demonstrating the ability to guide an accounting team to produce financial reporting within required deadlines
¨ Experience in the healthcare industry with solid working knowledge of accounting principles, Excel, and Word; PCC/My Unity, Management Reporter and/or GP Accounting software experience desired
¨ Team player with good communication skills and ability to work independently. Multi-tasker with attention to detail while adhering to deadlines.
¨ Ability to record and reconcile fixed assets, taxes, payroll, inventory, bank statements, inter-company and governmental filings
