Assistant Director of Nursing Services

The ADNS is a professional nursing position responsible for the overall unit operation and for planning, coordinating, assessing, implementing and evaluating the total plan of care for each resident on the assigned unit.  It is the responsibility of this position to insure that staff provide the necessary care and services to attain and maintain the highest practicable physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being of residents in accordance with the comprehensive assessment and Plan if Care and in conformance with the current standards of State, Federal and VA regulations.

Requirements
  • BSN with a current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Maine.
  • Knowledge of skilled and long-term care nursing regulations.
  • Nursing skills in Gerontology
  • Understanding of current nursing theory and research including evidence-based practice.
