What Providers Need to Know about Upcoming Changes to MaineCare Claims Processing System
The Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) is launching an upgraded version of MIHMS, MaineCare’s claims processing system. The upgrade is currently scheduled to go live on October 10, 2026. To support a smooth transition, OMS must implement temporary system access limitations and adjustments to payment cycles in October. This presentation will cover important information that providers need to know about the upcoming changes including claim submission deadlines, claims submission data freeze, and delays in payment cycles for October. MHCA members are strongly encouraged to identify one or more team members to join this presentation. Ahead of this presentation, providers are also strongly encouraged to start registering for training for the new MaineCare Partner Portal; training starts September 8th.
You can find information about the changes on the HealthPAS Portal section of the Provider Resources website, including a Data Freeze Provider FAQ document.
This session will be recorded, and slides can be found on the handouts page here (as they are made available).
Presenter: Molly Slotznick, Chief Operating Officer, Office of MaineCare Services
