Assisted Living Administrator
ELDERCARE NETWORK of Damariscotta, Maine seeks a talented administrator to guide our small network of 6 home-like assisted living residences.

ElderCare Network is a group of 6 houses (“The Greens”) located in the Lincoln County, Maine towns of Damariscotta, Jefferson, Waldoboro, Round Pond, Edgecomb, and Wiscasset. Each home of 6-12 residents has its own manager and is centrally administered from the supervisory team in Damariscotta. ECN was founded 30 years ago and continues to serve a wonderful mix of elders often more than 90 years old, and often of limited means requiring financial support from the State of Maine.

The Eldercare Network (ECN) focuses on revolutionizing elder care offering personalized, family-style assisted living for all income levels, aiming to eliminate the need for residents to move again. Position Summary
The Administrator oversees all aspects of facilities management, including clinical operations, financial performance, human resources, and resident satisfaction, while cultivating a culture of respect, collaboration, and excellence among staff.

The Administrator provides strategic direction, supervision, and accountability to the administrative team and home managers, and represents ECN within the broader community, ensuring strong partnerships with other organizations, families, volunteers, and all local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Plan, develop, and direct all programs and services to ensure quality, stability, and compliance with ECN policies, state and federal regulations.
  • Champion the Small Home Model: Lead and sustain a culture that embraces resident choice, autonomy, and belonging. Promote teamwork, relationship-based care, and household-level decision-making that empowers both residents and staff.
  • Resident-Centered Care: Work with the Clinical Director and home managers to ensure each resident attains and maintains their highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing, mission-driven workforce of 50. Provide training, performance evaluations, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Financial Stewardship: Work with the Executive Director and Business Manager to manage budgets, payroll, reimbursement processes, and fiscal reporting to meet performance goals while ensuring resources support quality care.
  • Compliance & Quality: Oversee all regulatory compliance, including licensure, audits, and reporting. Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives focused on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Community Engagement: Serve as a public face of ECN at community events, fundraising, and professional gatherings. Strengthen connections with local organizations and families.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with ECN’s Executive Director, Central office leadership, and the Board of Directors to implement system-wide goals and advance organizational excellence as ECN embarks on a cutting-edge Brain Health Center to reverse cognitive decline.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related health field required.
  • Current State of Maine Long-Term Care Administrator’s License in good standing
  • Three (3) Years of Successful Administrative Experience in a licensed nursing facility is desired.
  • Strong Knowledge of long-term care operations, personnel management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable with Finances and ability to manage complex budgets.
  • Exceptional Communication, leadership, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated Commitment to resident-centered care and the values of small home assisted living.
