A message from returning Director of Education, Karen Michaud!

Dear Member,

I hope this note finds you well. As you may recall, after 17 years with MHCA, I left the association in June of 2021 to pursue new opportunities and enjoy extended time in the beautiful State of Florida. Honestly, it's been an amazing journey full of life-changing experiences. Being a Maine native with strong family ties to the area, I opted to return to my home State and, once again, make my primary residence here in Maine.

I join the team in congratulating Ashley on her recent appointment as Project Coordinator for Central Maine Health Care (CMHC).  Though I've been away for a time, I've had the pleasure of working with Ashley for several years and her hard work and dedication has not gone  unnoticed.  Wishing her the very best in this new position. I have every confidence that she will be a blessing wherever she lands.

I am blessed for the opportunity to return to MHCA, and serve as your Director of Education in this season. You can't serve in our industry for 17 years – supporting a mission, navigating changes, celebrating victories, mourning losses, and promoting quality care for our most vulnerable elders – and not have strong ties to both the people and a shared purpose.  I look forward to putting my skills and experience to good use again, interacting with members, and doing my part to make a difference for care centers and the residents you serve.

Warm regards,
Karen
