Cabinet on Aging Virtual Listening Session: March 16th

Maine's Cabinet on Aging is hosting a virtual listening session on March 16th from 3:30 – 5:00 pm to gather input from older adults, family members and caregivers, advocates, service providers, and others on the Cabinet's proposed goals and priorities for the coming years. To register click here

The Cabinet on Aging was created by Governor Mills in 2022 and brings together State government agencies to coordinate and advance policies that support Maine people in aging safely, affordably, and in ways and settings that best serve their needs.
Working with Cabinet members, staff, and building on previous and ongoing stakeholder feedback, the Cabinet proposes to focus in three key areas:
  • Supporting sustainable living for older Mainers in their communities
  • Supporting community connections that improve quality of life, inclusion, and engagement of older adults
  • Engaging older adults in active retirement and work
Prior to engaging participants in a discussion about the proposed plan, Cabinet staff will provide a brief overview of priorities within these goal areas including housing and transportation strategies, broadband, workforce, and improved access to services and supports. An agenda and meeting materials will be sent to registrants prior to the meeting.
All are welcome to attend. To register, please use the link below. If you need an accommodation to participate in the meeting, please contact Elizabeth Gattine at Elizabeth.Gattine@maine.gov before Friday, March 10th.
