COVID-19 QSO Updates

With the conclusion of the Public Health Emergency (PHE), QSO-20-38 Testing has expired, and CMS instructs us to follow national standards. Henceforth, COVID-19 testing should adhere to national standards, such as those provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Additionally, there has been a revision to QSO 20-39 Visitations, which now also refers to following national standards.

The CDC has recently made updates to their website, encompassing guidance on resident testing, proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), and potential metrics that can be utilized to facilitate decision-making (refer to the Appendix on the website for further details).
We are anticipating an update via Maine CDC Health Alert Network System (HAN) soon.
