Nursing Facility Extraordinary Circumstance Allowance (ECA) Application Update

Approximately 80 nursing facilities completed the Extraordinary Circumstance Allowance (ECA) application that was due on November 3^rd. The Department is now in the process of reviewing these applications. 
 
As authorized by P.L. 2023, Ch. 412, Part NNNNN, nursing facilities were eligible to apply for one-time funding for financial hardship. Facilities who receive funding under this program many not convert nursing facility beds to other service models, such as residential care, without approval from the Department. Facilities had to submit an efficiency plan as part of their application. It is anticipated that funds will be disbursed sometime in December.
