CMS updates RSV CPT Codes

CMS has updated again two CPT codes for the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine administration in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedules.   Effective retroactively to October 6, 2023 the following codes are in use:  
  • 96380 – Short descriptor: Admn rsv monoc antb im cnsl
  • 96381 – Short descriptor: Admn rsv monoc antb im njx
 
The announcement also includes information on the RSV shot beneficiary education for residents.
