LD 1827 Passes Through Both Chambers

Today, LD 1827, Resolve, to Establish the Blue Ribbon Commission to Make Recommendations on the Continuum of Long-term Care Options, passed the House of Representatives with resounding bipartisan support, garnering 108 votes in favor and 0 opposed. The bill now proceeds to the governor for her review and potential signature.

LD 1827 is poised to address the evolving landscape of long term care by establishing a commission tasked with assessing current provisions and recommending legislative adjustments to align with shifting demographics and labor market conditions. This initiative underscores our commitment to ensuring that the state remains equipped to meet the diverse and growing needs of individuals requiring residential support.

MHCA testified in support of this bill, and we are grateful to Senate President Troy Jackson for his sponsorship of this beneficial legislation.
