Maine CDC issued Health Advisory Network

The Maine CDC indicates that influenza, COVID-19, and RSV remain considerable health challenges in the United States, particularly for individuals at elevated risk of severe illness. This includes older adults, young children, individuals with compromised immune systems, those with disabilities, and pregnant individuals. The health consequences of COVID-19 are becoming more comparable to those of other respiratory viruses, such as influenza. Reported fatalities linked to COVID-19 significantly surpass those associated with influenza and RSV. Nevertheless, influenza, and probably RSV, frequently go underreported as causes of death.
