Visitation – Graphic for Loved Ones Available

On March 10, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), issued updated guidance for nursing homes to safely expand visitation options during the COVID-19 pandemic public health emergency (PHE).

CMS has releasing a
graphic to further explain the expanded visitation options. According to the updated guidance, facilities should allow responsible indoor visitation at all times and for all residents, regardless of vaccination status of the resident, or visitor, unless certain scenarios arise that would limit visitation. Read the full press release and review the graphic in English and Spanish.

In addition, MHCA in partnership with LeadingAge ME&NH, and the LTC Ombudsman Program are working to compile a resource guide for providers and families of residents in our homes. We anticipate this resource to be ready for review next week. Our hope is that this tool will serve as a reference as we navigate the next few months of reopening.
