Residents Right to Vote QSO

In accordance with QSO-24-21-NH, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has reaffirmed the regulatory requirement that ensures nursing home residents can fully exercise their right to vote as citizens of the United States.
Nursing homes must guarantee that residents can exercise their Constitutional right to vote free from any interference, coercion, discrimination, or retaliation from the facility.
Collaboration between states, local governments, and nursing home owners and administrators is essential to uphold and support residents' voting rights.
