Scabies

Scabies is a highly contagious skin infestation caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, which spreads easily in congregate settings such as nursing homes, and assisted living centers.  In these settings, controlling scabies requires prompt identification, treatment, and prevention efforts.
