DHHS Proposes New Regulations for Assisted Living and Residential Care

On Wednesday, October 23, DHHS published its proposed rule changes to regulations for Assisted Living and Residential Care. The proposal includes extensive changes to the documents' formatting and substantive requirements for facilities. MHCA is evaluating the proposal and will share an overview of the differences when it is completed. The proposed rulemaking posting can be viewed here. The public hearing is scheduled for 9 AM - 12 PM on November 13 at 109 Capitol Street, Augusta. Written comments can be submitted until November 23.
