Reminder: Assisted Housing Proposed Rulemaking Written Comments Due November 25th at 5:00 PM

On November 13, the DHHS Division of Licensing and Certification (DLC) held a public hearing on the proposed rule changes for assisted living and residential care facilities. MHCA thanks the 63 people who attended the public hearing in Augusta and the 100-plus individuals who were on Zoom. Your participation and your comments were impactful!

The open comment period ends on Monday, November 25th at 5:00 pm. Written comments can be submitted online here or you can email them to DLC Compliance Analyst Jonathan Leach at: Jonathan.H.Leach@maine.gov

The current proposed rule change is a complete repeal and replacement of the existing rules in force. These are major substantive rule changes so the legislature will also have an opportunity to review and approve or amend. We have included a one page overview of the rule for lawmakers.
