MaineCare Payment Curtailments

DHHS is continuing with its plan to temporarily hold certain MaineCare provider payments. While the Legislature passed a budget bill that appropriates the necessary funding to pay MaineCare providers through June 30, the budget did not receive 2/3 vote to enact the legislation immediately. Unless additional action is taken, MaineCare payment curtailments will continue. In a recent announcement, DHHS confirmed that for the April 2nd payment cycle, the same providers will continue to be impacted (hospitals, pharmacies, durable medical equipment services, etc.) So far long term care has not been impacted. We will monitor closely and keep you posted.
