Nursing Facility Specialty Rate Development for Brain Injury and Med Psych In Progress

Maine DHHS held a listening session on May 1st to solicit feedback from long term care providers as they develop a new approach for rates for residents with brain injury and with medical-psychiatric needs. As part of their work, the Department will be collecting feedback from interested parties via this survey: MaineCare: Nursing Facility Specialty Units Feedback.

The Department anticipates having draft rates available sometime this summer and will have a formal comment period. Implementation date to be determined and if a funding appropriation is required it will be dependent upon budget appropriations.
