May 8 Legislative Update

Last Friday, we testified on three bills, including LD 1720 and LD 1769. LD 1720 would improve training access, language supports, and MaineCare reimbursement for long term care workers. LD 1769 would require annual reporting from temporary nurse agencies to improve transparency and oversight.

We will continue to advocate on these and other bills until final votes are taken, and we're also pushing for key funding priorities to be included in the final state budget. Statutory adjournment is in mid-June, and we're hopeful that all remaining work will be completed by then.
