Beginning in June 2025, the group will meet on the third Thursday of each month on Zoom to review each element of the current DCP Toolkit. Relevant documents will be shared one month in advance of each meeting. We ask that you review these materials ahead of time and come prepared to offer feedback on their usefulness, including recommendations on which tools and documents should be retained in the revised toolkit.
If you have additional resources, you believe should be considered for inclusion, please send them to Moe Carland at MHCA as soon as possible so they can be shared with the group in advance.
Our goal is to develop an updated, user-friendly toolkit within one year—complete with accessible resources, templates, and documents that centers can easily adapt for their own use.
Here are the link to the full MHCA DCP page (big book) as well as the DCP change booklet (little book).
The next meeting will be held via ZOOM on June 19, 2025 at 1pm. At this meeting we will be reviewing the documents associated with the First Line of Defense element of the toolkit.
These documents include:

B. Guiding Principles
C. All About Me Booklet – Alzheimer's Society of Montreal
D. The Gerontological Society of America, 2018. Vol 58.-Evidence Based Non-Pharmacological Practices
