Core Q Feedback due Tomorrow Friday June 13th

Maine is finalizing the details of the VBP program.   As a reminder, participation in Year 1 of the value-based payment program is “pay to participate.” Beginning in Year 2, payment will be tied to quality indicators and scorecard metrics—details on these measures are still forthcoming.

On May 28th the VBP/ QuEST presentation focused on the CoreQ survey that the Department plans to implement to collect resident satisfaction data. A recording of this presentation is available at QuEST VBP CoreQ 5.28.25

DHHS/OADS is currently seeking provider feedback on the proposed CoreQ requirement, which would have nursing facilities collect resident and family satisfaction data and submit it via a vendor of their choice to AHCA/NCAL's TrendTracker platform. If you were unable to attend the May 28th presentation, a recording and additional details are available in the resource section of this email.

MHCA strongly encourages all nursing homes to provide feedback, particularly regarding the methods used to collect CoreQ responses. We believe offering multiple modalities—such as phone, text, email, and mail—is essential for inclusive and comprehensive feedback.

Please email your feedback by midnight tomorrow night to OADS.NFQuality@maine.gov.
