Health PAS Portal Update

The portal will continue to remain down Monday through Friday from 7 PM to 7 AM and all weekend hours as Gainwell continues to address technical issues and system modifications. The portal will remain available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday except for holidays, when state offices are closed.
 
Provider Services can be reached at 1-866-690-5585. The provider services line is staffed by Gainwell during normal business hours, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.  The hours for the call center are on the Health PAS website on the contact us page: https://mainecare.maine.gov/TradingPartnerContactInfo.aspx
 
Outside of the call's center's normal business hours, there is an automated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) that can be used to verify member eligibility.  There are instructions on how to use that on the OMS webpage under the Provider Resources tab:  https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/oms/providers
 
For providers who have a large number of patients that they are needing to verify MaineCare eligibility on a frequent basis, there is an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) file transmission process available. The technology and cost involved may not make sense for providers who are only verifying eligibility for smaller numbers of patients or infrequently.
