Urinary tract infections (UTIs) and Clostridioides difficile infections (C. diff) remain two of the most common and costly healthcare-associated infections in nursing homes.
This training provides attendees with a clear, practical understanding of what UTIs and C. diff are, how they develop, and why accurate identification matters. In addition, we will review the long-stay UTI quality measure, including how it is calculated, what drives performance, and how nursing home practices directly influence a facility's publicly reported quality outcomes.
