Nursing Facility Value Based Payments (VBP) Delayed

MaineCare has not yet received federal CMS approval of the Nursing Facility State Plan Amendment (SPA) for the $8.1 million for the 2025 Quality Bonus Pool as part of the Value Based Payment program.

As such the VBP payments anticipated this month will be delayed. The Office of MaineCare Services indicates they are working on this and will still plan to send nursing facilities an email to note their anticipated award amount.  We will apprise members of any new information we receive from MaineCare.
