Charting the Horizon: Reflections from Our Leadership Symposium

On June 18, roughly 100 attendees - including sponsors, speakers, staff, and industry leaders - gathered at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport for our Leadership Symposium. While the weather outside was rainy and gray, the energy inside was anything but. The day was filled with enthusiasm, engagement, meaningful conversations, and valuable opportunities for learning and connection.

We were fortunate to welcome an outstanding lineup of speakers who shared valuable insights and practical leadership strategies. Special thanks to AHCA Board of Governors Chair, Chris Wright; the fantastic duo from MHCA, Angela Cole Westhoff and Anna Black; and our friends from BerryDunn, Lisa Trundy-Whitten and Olga Gross Balzano, for helping make the day both informative and impactful.

The afternoon sessions were a particular highlight. Ross Gibson earned exceptionally positive feedback for his engaging 90-minute presentation, while Melanie Ho closed the Symposium with a thoughtful and deliberate session that flowed seamlessly from Ross's discussion. Their interactive approach kept attendees energized and involved, helping to fend off the post-lunch lull and ensuring a strong finish to the day.

Of course, no great event is complete without good company and good food. Attendees enjoyed an excellent lunch and numerous opportunities to connect, share ideas, and strengthen professional relationships throughout the day.
