Mike McNeil Scholarship - Application Deadline is June 26th!

If you or staff are interested in applying for the Mike McNeil Scholarship Fund for the 2026/2027 school year, we encourage you to start the application process soon. In addition to the application, we must receive an acceptance letter OR current transcript from a 2 to 4 year program, as well as two letters of reference. Applications and additional materials need to be received by 5:00 PM on June 26, 2026.
 
The fund provides support to individuals pursuing careers in long term care. Applicants must be affiliated with an MHCA-member facility including nursing homes/assisted living facility employees, their immediate family members, and/or volunteers.
 
We recommend applicants review the outline provided as a reference to aid in the completion of the online application form. The online form does not save information until the submit button is clicked. Applicants will need to begin again if they do not finish the application.
 
Now in its 20th year, this program has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships, supporting 158 students. We are pleased to support these dedicated long-term care employees, their families and volunteers!
