Meet Our Opening Keynote: Caleb Campbell | Fall Health Care Conference & Expo 2026

What If Burnout Isn't a Resilience Problem?

The demands of health care aren't slowing down. Teams are leaner, expectations continue to rise, and many professionals are carrying more than ever. That's why we're excited to welcome Caleb Campbell, former NFL player and West Point graduate, as the opening keynote speaker for MHCA's 2026 Fall Health Care Conference & Expo.

In “The Inner Advantage: Re-Purposing Pressure for Greater Growth in a World That Isn't Slowing Down”, Caleb draws on his experiences in elite performance environments to challenge the idea that burnout is simply a failure of resilience. Instead, he reframes pressure and burnout as a capability crisis, not a personal failure, and offers a new way to think about sustaining energy, clarity, and purpose in high pressure environments.

It's not about doing less. It's about learning to carry pressure differently. It's a powerful message to kick off Shaping Tomorrow Together, this year's Fall Conference theme, and a reminder that creating a stronger future for long term care starts with how we support ourselves, our teams, and one another today.

We hope you'll join us October 27th – 29th at the Samoset Resort in Rockport for three days of education, connection, and inspiration with colleagues from across Maine's long term care community.
