Revised FY26 Rate Letters
- The Department recently identified and corrected an error in the FY26 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) rate calculations for ICF/IIDs. This error resulted in overinflation of the variable rate.
- Providers do not need to adjust FY26 claims. If we identify overpayments or underpayments during the audit review, providers will be notified pursuant to MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter III, Section 50, Principle 7076.
FY27 Adjustment Billing Guidance for Dates of Service July 1, through July 30, 2026
Providers are responsible for adjusting all affected claims. Per policy and to avoid timely filing denials, you must submit adjustments within 120 days of the most recent claim payment date. For additional billing guidance when adjusting or reversing claims, please see the How to Adjust Claims for Retro Rate Increases (PDF) document.
