FDA Revokes EUA for Decontaminated Disposable Respirators

The FDA no longer authorizers use of non-NIOSH-approved or decontaminated disposable respirators by healthcare personnel in healthcare settings. Based on the increased domestic supply of NIOSH-approved respirators, and consistent with CDC's updated recommendations and OSHA's recently published COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard, FDA believes healthcare facilities should not use crisis capacity strategies any longer.  (Source:  APIC eNews).
