AHCA/NCAL Launches 2026-2027 #GetVaccinated Campaign With New Innovation Challenge- YOU Could Win $10,000

AHCA/NCAL has kicked off its 2026-2027 #GetVaccinated campaign, giving long term and post-acute care providers resources to prepare for respiratory virus season and help residents and staff stay current on flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccinations. New this year is the #GetVaccinated Innovation Challenge, a competition inviting member providers to submit the creative strategies and materials they've used to educate and engage residents, families, staff, and their communities — along with the results those efforts produced.

Submissions are due by February 1, 2027. A panel of clinical and quality experts will select a winning campaign, and that organization will receive a $10,000 grand prize plus an invitation to present at the 2027 AHCA/NCAL Quality Summit.
"Long term care providers are doing ground-breaking work every day to protect the health and well-being of the residents entrusted to their care, and that deserves to be recognized," said Clif Porter, AHCA/NCAL president and CEO.

Respiratory viruses pose heightened risk to long term care residents each fall and winter, and vaccine hesitancy remains a real challenge in the field. "There is no single solution, but our providers are uniquely positioned to learn from one another in finding practical and creative ways to build trust and boost vaccine uptake," said Dr. Elizabeth Burns, AHCA/NCAL's chief medical officer.

The #GetVaccinated campaign is made possible through support from Moderna.
