Indoor mask wearing is still recommended when counties and communities are experiencing a moderate to high level of transmission.
Items outlined for nursing homes and CMS federally licensed homes in QSO-20-39-NH may be relevant for assisted housing providers regarding infection prevention and control general practices.
PPE can be offered to visitors coming into your home but It is not recommended to provide an N-95 as this requires fit testing and medical clearance to wear appropriately.
COVID-19 Readiness Self-Assessment can be found here: https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/infectious-disease/hai/documents/SARS-CoV-2-LTC-Self-Assessment_12.2021.docx. This may help a home get an idea of improvement opportunities and action planning for risk reduction. This does not need to be turned in to ME CDC.
At this time, it is not recommended that family members participate in communal dining during visitation.
Maine CDC, MEMA and National Guard are sponsoring drop-in vaccine clinics at the Augusta Armory for all 3 vaccines as well as pediatric dosage.
