MHCA mourns the passing of health care leader, Reynold Raymond

It is with great sadness that MHCA shares the passing of Reynold Raymond, 73, of Eagle Lake. Raymond was a loyal member of the Association and a highly regarded health care leader in Aroostook County, as well as the State of Maine. Raymond served as the Chief Executive Officer of Northern Maine General for 28 years until retiring in 2019. Raymond's support of MHCA was illustrated by his ongoing membership endorsement for the long term care homes affiliated with Northern Maine General. Over the years, Raymond was a passionate advocate for staff and residents alike and MHCA could always count on him to lend his expert voice to important regulatory and legislative matters. On behalf of the MHCA Board of Directors and staff, we express our sincere condolences to the Raymond family.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Eagle Lake. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Marcoux Fund, c/o Northern Maine General, P.O. Box 310, Eagle Lake, ME 04739 to benefit the residents of Northern Maine General. Reynold was instrumental in creating the fund and your donations will be greatly appreciated. Read the complete obituary here: Reynold Raymond | Obituary | Fiddlehead-Focus (fiddleheadfocus.com).
