MHCA Direct Care Worker Summits off to a strong start

Earlier this week MHCA hit the road, traveling to Presque Isle and Brewer to present a full day of education and inspiration designed specifically for direct care staff. Direct care staff traveled from far and wide to join together for these special events (scroll down to view event photos.) Thanks to the Harold Alfond Center for Advancement of Maine's Workforce, grant funds were secured that allowed the trainings to be offered at no cost to attendees. The energy in each location was positive and fun, with attendees engaging in collaborative group work and hearing from inspirational speakers including Del Gilbert, Accelerating Excellence, Margie McLaughlin, HealthCentric Advisors, and Jill Gardner, StrengthenME.

“I was so nervous to come, but this was so much fun I wish I could do it again!”
 
“Promise me you're going to come back and do this next year!”
