REMINDER: Remember ME Nominations Due January 21st!

Only a few more days remain to submit your resident nomination for the 2025 Remember ME photography exhibit! Nominations must be submitted by January 21, 2025 at https://www.mehca.org/rmeapplication. In fairness to all, we ask you to nominate only one resident from your facility. As in previous years, we will convene a panel of judges, comprised of an MHCA staff member, a board member and a representative from an outside agency to help us in the selection process. To avoid losing your work, we recommend writing your narrative in an application like Word and then copying and pasting the full narrative into the application. Submissions must be completed in one session. Partial nominations will not be saved. We have developed a template questionnaire to help you gather the resident's information (Word and PDF file options).
 
Tips from the Judges:
Once you complete the questionnaire, consider identifying a staff member who is a skilled writer. This person should rewrite the responses and develop a narrative that highlights the resident's accomplishments and life story. See the template questionnaire with examples of successful submissions of honorees.
 
When considering a candidate, please be sure the resident is willing to be photographed by our professional vendors if he or she is selected. We strongly encourage submissions to be thoughtful, using the 400 word limit to relay the resident's story. In the past, submissions that are very short or in a bullet format are rarely selected by the judges, as they don't convey enough detailed information. Note: The photography exhibits of honorees includes each resident's bio. Due to space limitations, we edit all honorees bios to 300-350 max words. The judges receive the full 400 word submissions.
 
The exhibit will once again feature black and white photographs, accompanied by brief biographies, of residents living in your facilities. The presentation of Certificates of Lifetime Achievement will be on May 22, 2025 at the Augusta Civic Center. We are planning to have the event live streamed.
